Euphonic Spring

Model ESR-1 · Spring tank reverb

The story

Euphonic Spring is built on models of three spring tanks. A classic vintage circuit from a small, 60s black-panel combo amp. A darker, almost plate-like circuit from a modern boutique amp. And the spring tank inside a tape echo. Select the one that’s right for the job by pressing the Tank selector button. The Dwell knob increases the amount the spring tank is driven.

Stereo allows for the selection of two different tanks, one on each side of the stereo image. Each tank retains its own characteristics including tone and decay rate, creating an immersive, asymmetrical stereo image when run in stereo.

The advanced function

The advanced features control the springs inside the selected tank(s). Dispersion changes when the high frequencies propagate up and down the springs. Noon is true to the hardware. Counterclockwise speeds up when the highs are introduced. Clockwise delays the highs. Damp attenuates the highs.

The controls are simple but the sonic territory is vast.

Euphonic Spring expanded: below the dwell, reverb and tank selector, a second row opens called The Springs, with dispersion from highs first to highs last, damp, and an arrival display showing when the highs and lows arrive.
